In the Control Systems course of Semester V Electrical Engineering, students will learn the fundamental principles of open-loop and closed-loop control systems and their industrial applications. They will develop mathematical models of physical systems using transfer functions and block diagram reduction techniques. Students will study the time-domain response of first- and second-order systems and evaluate their transient and steady-state performance. They will also learn stability analysis techniques, including the Routh–Hurwitz criterion and root locus method. The course will develop their ability to analyze, evaluate, and design control systems for electrical and industrial engineering applications.
